RECIPE: Super Quick, Easy & Delicious Granola Recipe

Making granola, for me, is such a favourite thing to do. There is something so comforting about it. I love the smell throughout the house as it cooks and also the simplicity of it.

I adore how you can tailor it to your own taste. Fancy a more savoury taste this week? Add a sprinkle of pink Himalayan sea salt. Don't want it so 'coconutty', use some high quality, extra virgin olive oil instead for a completely different flavour. Plus don't get me started on the different spices and dried fruits you can add. The world is your own crunchy granola bowl!

So with this in mind, here is my recipe for a simple homemade granola. Feel free to play with the proportions to make it fit to your own taste. Just make sure everything is nicely slicked in 'sticky gooeyness' and you're good to go!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Dry ingredients:

1 cup organic rolled oats

200g mixed nuts chopped

75g mixed seeds

3 tbsp milled linseed

Wet ingredients:

3 tbsp coconut oil melted

3 tbsp maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

METHOD:

  • Pre-heat the oven to 150 degrees C

  • Add all the dry ingredients to a large bowl and mix together

  • Blitz the wet ingredients together in a blender

  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix well

  • Spread onto a lined baking sheet and bake at 150 degrees for around 30mins (or until golden brown) stirring half way through.

  • Serve your granola with a tasty acai bowl, at the bottom of a creamy smoothie, with milk/yoghurt or from jar to mouth in one large handful! (Please don't choke mind you!)
