SKINCARE: Why Micro-Needling is the New Face Lift

I am super excited to announce that I am introducing micro-needling to my clinic. I have wanted to provide more advanced procedures for you all and I can't wait for you to try this treatment. What is it all about though I hear you ask... Well, here is some info that I think you just might find very interesting...

In my clinic I use the Nimue Skin Technology range of products (and I have for more than 10 years now!). I love this range so much as it gives such advanced treatments with fabulous results. I have lists of clients that can testify to this so don't just take my word for it!

Nimue use microneedling as part of their range of treatments and I have been one of the very lucky (select) clinics who can provide this service to you.

The way microneedling works is by creating 1 mm microscopic fine channels in the skin to stimulate new collagen production. Thereby reducing wrinkles and improving skin texture.

  • The results can restore the volume and plumpness of the skin

  • Reduce pore size and improve skin texture

  • Softens fine lines, wrinkles and improves elasticity

  • Can improve superficial scars - Including acne scarring

Microneedling can be used to treat a wide range of skin conditions including the following...

  • hyperpigmentation

  • enlarged pores

  • acne scarring

  • fine lines and wrinkles

  • slowed collagen production

  • sagging skin

BEFORE & AFTER FINE LINES & WRINKLES

Please take a look at the lines around the eyes, on the sides of the mouth and the lines between the brows. Also, note the texture of the skin too. This is such a fantastic treatment as it's so natural. The body is healing itself and so there are no weird lasers, nothing is being 'injected', it is literally the skin repairing itself - by itself! This is why the results are so natural and yet so effective. I can't rave about this enough! Treatments like Botox (although give an instant result) can look unnatural. You can almost see it in the skin - especially with fillers, here you still have full expressions - no frozen faces! Hoorah! If you are concerned with fine lines, sagging skin or premature ageing get in touch and book on.

BEFORE & AFTER ACNE SCARRING

Again, look at the texture of the skin, how refined the pores are. It is so difficult to get this kind of result with products or treatments as they are usually so harsh. Any product that claims to refine pores can be very drying, where as this treatment is not. The skin looks hydrated and plump, not dry and flaky (like some pore refining products can cause).

If you have suffered from acne in the past and want to treat any scarring, this is one of the most effective and natural ways to do it. Please get in touch and book on the course.

Why is this Microneedling different to any other microneedling treatment?

By using the Nimue Skin Technology products, I combine the very advanced TDS Serums with the microneedling to enhance the overall results. I also use the Nimue Alginate Mask which is super cool and soothing after the treatment. Most other clinics do not provide these extras (especially the TDS Serums) and so this is why I'm so excited to give you more value in your treatments.

Is it uncomfortable?

No. The roller uses only 1 mm needles and so it is not a painful treatment. It's more of a tingling sensation where the roller is but I would not say it's uncomfortable - Plus if you have been to me before, you know how comfy the bed is! I'm sure you will still find it very relaxing.

How can Skinade help with microneedling?

Skinade is a fantastic supplement to drink alongside having your microneedling treatments. The two compliment each other so well to enhance the results. Skinade is basically microneedling in the form of a drink so the two together help treat the skin from the inside out and the outside in! Working like a sandwich effect to give the best results
