This is such an important topic, especially at this time of the year as the weather changes. Today I'm talking about TEWL.
WHAT IS TEWL?
TEWL stands for 'Trans Epidermal Water Loss'. It is when water passes from the dermis, through the epidermis and then evaporates from the surface of the skin.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
The problem with TEWL is that when water leaches out of the skin, it can make the skin dry, dehydrated and also make fine lines and wrinkles appear worse than what they are.
WHAT CAUSES IT?
Changes in temperature and being in a dehydrating environment can cause TEWL. Such as air conditioning environments and also when the heating is on (like this time of the year).
HOW TO PREVENT IT

THE FACE SERUM
The Face Serum is an oil based serum that soaks into the skin easily. You only need a small amount, however a little goes a long way. This oil is packed full of botanical ingredients for the skin including kiwi seed oil, sea buckthorn extract, Vitamin A palmitate plus much more. This provides a final barrier to the skin to protect it from TEWL. It's also super light and so not pore blocking either.
