APOTHECARY: Dry, irritated skin blend

When the weather is as bitter cold as it has been in the last few days, our skin can really suffer. The wooly jumpers and central heating can really dry and irritate our skin. I find with myself, I get quite itchy and my skin goes very dry. No need to fear though! Here is a simple body oil you can use to nourish your skin cells back to health, it maybe cold outside but your skin will feel super soft inside that big cable knit! Here's the simple recipe...

to make 100ml...

30ml Calendula Oil

20ml Borage or Evening Primrose Oil

50ml Coconut oil

4 drops of lavender essential oil (optional)

4 drops of roman chamomile essential oil (optional)

Measure out your ingredients and then pour them into your glass bottle and give it a good shake. If you wish you can also add some essential oils to help enhance the results.

Massage this blend into your skin ideally after a nice, warm bath or shower to allow the oils to penetrate a little deeper. Why not try using it to treat eczema and psoriasis too!

(SAFETY: Please be careful not to slip as the oil can make your feet quite slippery. Always patch test an area first incase of skin sensitivity)
