3 Tasty Snacks for Skin Health

We all know how much I love food. These have been my go to snacks recently that not only 'hit the spot' for me, but also boost my skin health too.
Because glowing skin isn’t just about what you put on your face—it’s also about what you snack on in between emails, errands, and your daily existential crisis.
We’re often told to eat well for clear skin, but what does that actually look like when you're raiding the fridge at 3pm? Well, it doesn’t mean a sad rice cake or a handful of almonds pretending to be satisfying - this just won't cut it for me I'm afraid.
Here are three skin-loving snacks that are genuinely delicious and packed with nutrients that your skin will lap up.
1. The Glow-Getter Protein Smoothie

This one’s my go-to post-treatment or pre-zoom snack when my skin (and mood) needs a pick-me-up. It's packed with antioxidants, collagen and protein support, and skin-plumping nutrients.
What you’ll need:
1 handful of frozen berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries—whatever you’ve got)
1 scoop of your favourite plant-based protein powder (for amino acids and muscle repair). I've just been using this simple unflavoured one at the moment as it's just made from pea protein and fava bean. I cannot vouch for the flavoured ones as I'm not a fan of artificial anything.
2-3 grams of creatine (for cellular energy, skin repair and improved hydration and firmness) again, I use this on but the unflavoured version.
1 sachet or bottle of Skinade (hello collagen support and hydration!)
1 teaspoon of The Beauty Chef GLOW Inner Beauty Powder (prebiotics, probiotics, vitamins and skin-loving phytonutrients)
Splash of water to blend to your favourite consistency
Why it’s great for your skin - The berries are antioxidant-rich, helping to fight free radical damage (think dullness, fine lines and inflammation). The protein powder and Skinade provide your skin with the building blocks it needs to make collagen and elastin, keeping it plump and firm. The GLOW Powder? That’s going to help support the gut-skin connection and boost radiance from within.
And the creatine remember is not just for gym-goers. Creatine can help support cellular energy, which may enhance skin repair, improve hydration and firmness, and even slow the appearance of ageing by supporting ATP production in your skin cells. It’s also great for brain function and overall energy—so you get glowing skin and a sharper mind. I've been taking creatine for a while now and think it's great.
2. Stuffed Avocado with Feta, Pomegrante and Tomato
I know, I know—avocado has been done to death. But there’s a reason for that. It’s basically a facial in food form.

This is one of my favourite skin-loving snacks — it’s quick, refreshing, and packed with nutrients that your skin will thank you for. Simply halve a ripe avocado and fill it with a chopped salad of cucumber, cherry tomatoes, crumbled feta, pomegranate seeds, and a handful of chopped parsley. Add a squeeze of lemon, a drizzle of olive oil, and a pinch of sea salt to finish.
Why it’s great for your skin:
Avocado is rich in skin-plumping healthy fats and vitamin E, which helps support skin elasticity and keeps the barrier hydrated and resilient.
Pomegranate is loaded with antioxidants that help combat free radical damage and support collagen production.
Feta adds a little protein and calcium, while the probiotics can support gut-skin health.
Parsley and cucumber offer a dose of vitamin C, hydration and anti-inflammatory benefits — perfect if your skin is feeling a little inflamed or tired.
Tomatoes are high in lycopene, another powerful antioxidant known for its skin-protective effects, particularly against sun damage.
I like to chop the 'stuffing' ingredients up and have them in a tupperware box so I can quickly add them to the avocado and munch away in between clients.
3. Greek Yoghurt with Pomegranate, Walnuts and a Drizzle of Manuka Honey
This is such a gorgeous bowl of nutrition!

Why it’s great for your skin: Greek yoghurt is packed with probiotics and protein—supporting gut health and helping your skin stay calm, clear and firm. Pomegranate seeds are bursting with antioxidants, while walnuts add crunch, omega-3s and vitamin E (an incredible antioxidant that helps skin glow). The drizzle of manuka honey isn’t just for sweetness—it’s naturally antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, which is brilliant for reactive or acne-prone skin.
You can prep a few jars of this in advance for a grab-and-go snack too.
Snacking can be good for you skin as long as what you're snacking on isn't just pure processed rubbish. These are quick and easy ways for you to have some healthy snacks in your day without having to sacrifice on flavour.
