Fine lines are part of life. I think it's important to accept that. They show up when we laugh, frown, squint, or even when we’ve had one too many late nights. They’re also one of the most common reasons clients come to me asking for help.

Fine lines aren't necessarily permanent either, but they can be if we don't treat them early. While I can’t promise you’ll erase every one overnight, there are ways to soften and smooth them so your skin looks fresher, plumper, and more radiant.
PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE
Fine lines often appear when your skin is dehydrated or exposed to too much UV. Daily SPF is non-negotiable, no matter the weather. A good sunscreen like Nimue SPF 40 or SPF 50 or SkinBetter ToneSmart SPF 50 is your best defence. And yes, even if you work from home, UVA rays pass straight through glass, so we need to protect from those all the time.
KEEP HYDRATED INSIDE AND OUTSIDE
Think of your skin like a sponge. Without enough water, it shrivels. With hydration, it plumps up beautifully. Products like the Forlle’d Refining Lotion work wonders at drawing water deep into the skin and keeping it there. I love to layer the SkinBetter LINES on top of this. Lines is absolutely magic at keeping on top of fine lines for me, it's a non-negotiable.
Calecim Multi Action Cream is another medical grade product I would recommend when treating fine lines. Formulated with stem cells to stimulate collagen and elastin production to help plump up fine lines and firm the skin.
Then add Skinade into the mix for internal hydration and collagen support, and you’ll notice the glow from the inside out.
RETINOIDS ARE A MUST (FOR MOST)
Retinoids are one of the most effective ingredients for softening fine lines. The key is choosing the right formula. I recommend SkinBetter AlphaRet Overnight Cream for a gentle but incredibly effective treatment. For an extra boost a couple of times per week, the SkinBetter AlphaRet Peel Pads deliver professional-style resurfacing at home. Also, there is the Nimue Retinal Power+ Serum which again provides that advanced, medical grade retinal result without the retinoid reaction.
DON'T FORGET THESE TOO...
Your skin reflects your habits remember. Focus on...
Prioritising good sleep
Reduce sugar (it breaks down collagen through a process called glycation)
Manage stress (easier said than done, but it shows up on your skin if ignored)
Stay consistent with your skincare
It's all about a consistent routine with medical-grade skincare, combined with healthy habits, to slowly transform your skin over time.
