I appreciate that some people see eye cream as maybe a luxury item or something that is not always necessary, but this is not the case.
Eye cream has so many benefits and can really help the appearance of the skin around the eyes... as long as it's applied correctly.
Let me show you how...
HOW MUCH?
When it comes to eye cream, you want only a small amount. I would say about the size of a grain of rice split between your two ring fingers for both eyes.
WHERE DO I PUT IT?
You want to follow the bone around the eye area. Do not apply your eye cream onto the eyelids or directly underneath the eyes unless it actually says to on the product. If you apply too much cream, too close to the eyes, you can easily get puffiness - which goes against the point of applying it in the first place!
WHERE DOES IT FIT IN MY SKINCARE ROUTINE?
I like to use eye serums/creams after all my water based serums (e.g. The Vitamin C Serum or Refining Lotion) and before my face cream.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I USE IT?
Ideally you would apply it day and night as long as it's suitable. For example, eye creams that contain retinols (such as the SkinBetter AlphaRet EyeMax) can only be applied in the evening. However, the Nimue Anti-Ageing Eye Cream, Nimue Eye Treatment and the Forlle'd Daily cream for eyes can be applied twice a day.
WHICH ARE THE BEST ONES?
The all time best selling eye cream: This has to be the Nimue Anti-Ageing Eye Cream. This is a very moisturising eye cream that can help with fine lines and puffiness. It can help plump wrinkles, improve skin defence against UV rays and boosts fatigued skin. It's great to be used twice a day to see best results.
The luxury and super hydrating option: The Forlle'd Daily Cream for eyes is incredibly hydrating and wonderful at plumping up fine lines around the eyes. It can help even the skin tone, offer antioxidant protection and stimulate and grow the eyelashes too.
I hope you have found this useful and think about introducing an eye cream into your skincare regimen if you haven't already.
Thank you so much for reading,
Emmaline
