RECIPE: Delicious Fibre Filled Smoothie Bowl

I'm sure if you've been following me for a while, you'll be aware of how much I love smoothie bowls. Since I started making them, I've always added lots of different toppings. These all depend on what I am in the mood for and of course what's in my cupboards! However, it's now all about the fibre. My fibre of choice? Bran sticks!

Let me just mention that fibre is super good for us. Everybody seems so scared of carbs at the moment (especially those trying to lose weight), but actually fibre can really aid with weight loss.

The best thing about fibre is it is indigestible. It acts like a sponge and can draw out toxins and waste products from the body. Why would you not want to eat it? Why would you want to leave all those toxins in your body? So, this is my way of getting some good, old-fashioned fibre into my body first thing in the morning... and it's bloomin' delicious!

WHAT YOU NEED

  • 1/2 pot of Coyo Coconut Vanilla Yoghurt

  • Splash of plant based milk (to get the consistency you like)

  • 1/4 cup of frozen mango

  • 1/2 frozen banana

  • Toppings of choice

  • 1/4 cup of bran sticks ( I like these below)

METHOD:

  • Very simply blitz all the ingredients in your blender (except your toppings and bran sticks)

  • Pour into a serving dish and top with bran sticks and your fav toppings. I love frozen raspberries, goji berries and raw cacao nibs

  • Serve straight away

This is always my favourite 'go-to' smoothie bowl blend. You can use it instead of fruit yoghurt or milk with musli or granola too.

Thanks so much for reading,
