RECIPE: The SUPERFOOD Super Smoothie

I am addicted to smoothies in so many ways. They are great for breakfast, super quick and packed full of nutrition. How about in the afternoon? A quick boost of protein and energy to keep your going throughout the day. How about a smoothie bowl?? Topped with bee pollen, granola, cacao... the list goes on... and on!

This for me is the ULTIMATE smoothie. It's the one I go to again and again. I like to have it on a morning before my yoga practice. Fridays are my days off and so I tend to start early and then I might not eat till early afternoon. This keeps me going right through till then!

As much as it tastes delicious, it full of so many nutrients too! Probiotics, protein, vitamins, minerals and also fresh and tasty greens.

This is always my perfect smoothie checklist...

  • Fat

  • Fibre

  • Protein

  • Greens

  • Superfoods

  • Fresh Fruit

When I can tick off all these things, I know I've got something that is not only good for me, but will keep me full all morning (or afternoon!)

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 350ml cold, filtered water (HYDRATING)

  • 3 tbsp organic whole rolled oats (FIBRE)

  • 1 tbsp organic chia seeds (FIBRE & FAT)

  • 1 tbsp organic almond butter (FAT)

  • 3 scoops of Advanced Nutrition Therapy Probiotics (SUPPLEMENT)

  • 1 scoop of organic vegan protein powder (I like The Beauty Chef's Inner beauty Powder) (PROTEIN)

  • 3 tsp Green Magic Powder (SUPERFOOD SUPPLEMENT)

  • 2 large handfuls of organic spinach (GREENS)

  • 1 tropical smoothie mix (M&S smoothie packs are delicious - passion fruit, mango and coconut) (FRESH FRUIT)

METHOD:

Blitz everything up in a high speed blender until smooth. Serve straight away

You can always soak your oats and chia seeds first if you prefer. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. It all depends on what I have the time for.
